Important notes

Sam’s Passport Inc. is a licensed agency registered with the Consulate of Brazil. Consulate physical applications are submitted strictly on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Houston.

Nationals of Australia, Canada, and the United States require a valid visa to travel to Brazil for tourism or business purposes. Eligible passport holders can utilize the convenient e-Visa track (processed completely by email). Applicants requiring physical consulate sticker visas must comply with Houston consular scheduling.

Houston Consulate Jurisdiction includes Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas for tourist sticker filings. Submissions sent out of jurisdiction may incur additional processing fees.

Consulate sticker visas: We secure and dispatch your physical passport via FedEx overnight as soon as the consulate releases it. E-Visas: Approved electronic visa documents are delivered directly to your email once issued.

E-Visa vs consulate filing

  • E-Visa (Tourist / Business) — 100% email-based processing. Requires JPEG scans of your passport bio page, 2×2 passport photo, flight itinerary/hotel booking, and Sam’s Request Form. Average processing time is 5 business days (expediting is not available). Government fee: $85.90 USD | Service fee: $300 USD.
  • Consulate Sticker (VITUR / VITEM) — Full paper document package hand-delivered to the Houston Consulate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, including original signed passport, notarized proof of jurisdiction, and corporate letters.
  • Work VITEM V — Special temporary work categories (RN 61, RN 71, RN 99, RN 100) require prior authorization from the Ministry of External Relations (MRE) in Brazil before submission.
