Sam’s Passport Inc. is a Licensed and Registered Company with Angolan  Consulate. Applications can only be submitted on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Consulate. All applicants have to appear in person at the Consulate of Angola .

Sam’s passport will make sure all your documents are ready to be submitted prior to your visit to the consulate. One of our staff agents will be at the consulate to greet you and walk you through the steps of getting your visa application submitted and your biometrics completed.

We will FedEx or deliver your passport back to your address as soon as the consulate releases your passport to us.

Must be signed and valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.

NOTE: For Non U.S. Citizens Applicant must submit either notarized Copy of  Alien Registration Card (Green Card) -or- evidence of legal status in USA (valid visa plus I-94 in passport)

Please provide 2 Good Quality Color Passport-Type photographs with white background. (No glasses, with the applicants face in plain view). The applicant must also be wearing a button-up shirt with a tie. The consulate will only accept actual 2×2 passport type photographs from a reputable source, i.e. Kinko’s, Walgreens, CVS, etc.

Photos printed at home or from an office printer will not be accepted under any circumstances. Photos that are sent in invalid format will be rejected and will cause a delay in submission.

Letter of responsibility

If you are applying for a dependent, please include a Letter of Responsibility from the host stating that they will be responsible for the applicant while in Angola, translated into Portuguese and notarized in the U.S. Within the content of the letter, please include the applicant’s passport information.

A recent copy of the applicant’s bank statement that will show sufficient funds.

Letter of invite

A notarized, written Letter of Invite in Portuguese and English from the contact person in Angola who will be the host of the applicant while in Angola. Within the content of the letter, there should be the full name of the host, his or her full address in Angola and the applicant’s passport information as well their dates of travel.

Please include a copy of the invitee’s passport information page along with a copy of their valid visa.

Letter to abide

A letter written by the applicant stating that he or she will abide by all of the Angolan laws translated into Portuguese, notarized in the U.S. and signed by the applicant.

Work contract

Please provide a work contract in both Portuguese and English signed, with original signatures, by the applicant.

Legalized documents

All of the following documents are needed to obtain all of the work visas listed above. The required documents will need to be processed first, in order to complete a full submission packet for Angola.

The applicants documents will need to be translated into Portuguese, receive a Certificate of Notary and then authenticated through the U.S. State Department and finally legalized at the Consulate of Angola in Houston.

The entire legalization process can take a minimum of 15 working days – Sam’s Passport & Visa can provide this service for the corresponding documents listed below:

  • Letter of Invitation must be issued by the Ministry of Petroleum with the seal from Ministry of Petroleum.
  • A copy of the applicants college diploma. If the applicant does not possess a college diploma, then please provide a High School Diploma, in addition to two certificates pertaining to the job that is to be completed in Angola.
  • The applicants resume, please reduce to two pages.
  • The completed Medical Exam from the doctor, which will show the applicant is free from diseases or illness. This letter must be signed by a physician presented on an official physicians letterhead. This should be only one page.
  • A valid Police Clearance Report. This report is only valid for 90 days from the date of issue

NOTE:  If you were born in a Portuguese speaking country, you are required by the Angolan Consulate to show proof of health insurance.

NOTE: If the medical and police reports expire during the legalization process, the process for either document will need to be redone and can cause potential delays.

NOTE: Applications can only be submitted on Mondays and Wednesdays.  This type of Visa is for 7 days and you must enter Angola within 72 hours of the visa being issued. Our liaison appears at the consulate to meet applicants at 8 am.

NOTE: Please read through the following important notes:

  • All 7 day STV visas currently for both U.S. Citizens and Foreign Nationals are issued in 2 days. Once the 7 Day STV visa is issued, the applicant must enter Angola within 72 hours of the visa visa being issued.
  • Once arriving in Angola, all applicants must contact the local immigration office in Angola to have the STV visa extended. All travelers should have a “confirmed” travel reservation before submission of visa paperwork to the consulate.
  • 7 day STV visas can be submitted into the Angolan Houston consulate every Monday and Wednesday only.  Processing times for all STV visas will take 1-2 business days at the discretion of the consulate.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
