Requirements To Obtain A VISA To Enter Qatar

Passport Information

  • Passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay

  • The original passport must be submitted and should have at least two blank visa pages for processing.

  • Non U.S. Citizens must provide a notarized copy, front and back of a U.S. Green Card or I-94; in order to have a visa processed.
  • Visas for Qatar (Non U.S. Citizens) are no longer issued in the United States. In order to obtain a visa for Qatar; the inviting organization will have to apply at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar for a NOC (No Objection Certificate). (Non U.S. Citizens). The traveler can then travel with the NOC and obtain a visa upon arrival.

  • U.S. Citizens can now obtain a visa upon arrival for up to 21 days. The visa can then be extended for and additional 7 days while in the country. Please be prepared to wait for an extended period of time if you decide to choose this option.

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.

  • All business visas that are issued in Houston are for single entry only and will take 3 working days. Multiple entry visas will need to be sent to our D.C. office for processing and will take up to 10 working days.

  • 2 Visa Application Forms – Link fully completed and signed.

  • 2 Passport-type photographs required

  • Copy of itinerary or air tickets.

  • A business Letter of Guarantee– Link is required for Business Travelers, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Consulate General of Qatar/Visa Section, Houston TX, That must clearly explain the purpose of travel; Guarantee financial support for the visit and return transportation; the letter should be signed by an officer or manager of the company, other than the applicant.

  • Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination required for Yellow Fever if Arriving from Infected Area within 5 days
