Requirements To Obtain A VISA To Enter Bolivia

Passport Information

  • Passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay.

  • The original passport must be submitted and should have at least two blank visa pages for processing.

  • Non U.S. Citizens must provide a notarized copy, front and back of a U.S. Green card or I-94; in order to have a visa processed.

Tourist Visa

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.

  • 1 Visa Application Forms - Link, fully completed and signed..

  • 1 Passport-type photograph required· International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (not a copy).

  • The Visa Request Form - Link, is required for the completion of the visa.

Business Visa

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.

  • Visa Application Forms - Link fully completed and signed.

  • 1 Passport-type photograph required.

  • International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (not a copy)

  • A Business Letter of Guarantee - Link is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Consulate of Bolivia /Visa Section/ Houston, Texas. That must explain the purpose of travel; Guarantee financial support for the visit and return transportation; the letter should be signed by an officer or manager of the company, other than the applicant.

  • The Visa Request Form - Link, is required for the completion of the visa.

Other Information

  • All visas must be used within 60 days of issuance and are valid for a total of 30 days.

  • Visas can be extended while in Bolivia before final departure.

  • Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination required for Yellow Fever if Arriving from Infected Area within 5 days.
