Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Angola
Passport Information
- Passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay.
- The original passport must be submitted and should have at least two blank visa pages for processing.
- Non U.S. Citizens must provide a notarized copy, front and back of a U.S. Green card or I-94; in order to have a visa processed.
- Applications can only be submitted on Mondays and Wednesdays, the pick up days are Friday only.
- Non U.S. Citizens will only receive a Single Entry visa that is valid for 60 days.
Tourist Visa
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
- 2 Visa Application Forms fully completed and signed.
- 2 Passport-type photographs required.
- Copy of airline tickets or itinerary.
- Visa Request Form is required for the completion of the visa.
Business Visa
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
- 2 Visa Application Forms – Link fully completed and signed.
- 2 Passport-type photographs required.
- A Business Letter of Guarantee- Link is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: "Consulate of Angola/Houston TX".
- Copy of itinerary or air tickets.
- Letter of invitation from host in Angola - (Must be written in Portuguese and have a seal by the ministry of oil sector in Angola). The letter must be addressed to the "Consulate of Angola/Houston TX"
- Visa Request Form, is required for the completion of the visa.
Work Visa
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay.
- 3 Visa Application Forms – Link fully completed and signed.
- 3 Passport-type photographs required.
- A Business Letter of Guarantee- Link is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: "Consulate of Angola/Houston TX".
- Copy of itinerary or air tickets.
- Invitation letter from the Company in Angola which must states the type of work and position the applicant is going to have in Angola. This letter must be approved and stamped by the Ministry of Petroleum and Labor in Angola. The letter must also be addressed to the "Consulate of Angola/Houston TX"
- Copy of the Contract between the Angolan company and the applicant
- Copy of the applicants Resume
- Copy of the applicants Diploma if applicable
- Letter of Acceptance from the applicant signed by him that he is accepting the position in Angola and that he will follow all the Angolan Laws while he is in Angola.
- Complete Medical check Exam on a doctor’s or clinic letterhead showing that the applicant is free of any from of diseases or illness and this letter must be signed by the doctor or the physician.
- All documents above have to be translated to Portuguese and notarized
- Consular fees $300.00 Regular service and $600.00 Rush service
- Visa Request Form, is required for the completion of the visa.

- Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination required for Yellow Fever if Arriving from Infected Area within 5 days
